Privacy
A short, plain-language policy.
The first trip inquiry should contain only the basics. Halfwoods does not need medical or other sensitive details through a public website form.

What the inquiry asks for
The bikepacking inquiry asks for your name, email address, general trip interest, likely group size, and the message you choose to provide. This information is used to respond to you and discuss a possible trip.
How the form sends
Until a dedicated form service is configured, the form opens your own email application with the inquiry filled in. The message is sent only when you send that email to contact@halfwoods.com. The website itself does not store the form submission.
If a hosted form service is enabled later, this policy will be updated before that service goes live to identify the provider, where it processes data, and how to request deletion.
Hosting and fonts
The site is delivered through GitHub Pages and loads its display typeface from Google Fonts. Visiting a page therefore sends ordinary technical request information, such as an IP address and browser details, to the infrastructure needed to deliver the page and font. Those providers handle that information under their own privacy terms.
Analytics and cookies
The bikepacking section does not currently load an analytics service, advertising tracker, or marketing cookie. The site code includes event labels so privacy-conscious analytics can be connected later, but no event is transmitted without that service.
Information not to submit here
Do not put health history, medical diagnoses, government identifiers, payment card details, or other sensitive personal information in the initial inquiry. If health or accessibility information later becomes relevant to safe trip planning, it will be requested and handled in a more appropriate part of the booking process.
Retention and deletion
Email correspondence is kept only as long as it remains useful for the inquiry, booking, trip administration, legal obligations, or resolving a dispute. You can ask for inquiry correspondence to be deleted, subject to records that must be retained for legitimate legal or business reasons.
