Your guide
Plan, prepare, ride.
I shape the route, talk through experience and equipment, provide practical instruction, lead the riding day, and make the calls when the plan needs to change.
A personal guide, not a tour bus
I’m Aidan. I plan and ride each trip, help people get comfortable with the setup, and keep the group small enough to pay attention.

Why do this
Bikepacking can look like a specialist world of perfect gear, huge distances, and knowledge everyone else somehow already has. It doesn’t have to be. A good first trip can be short, comfortable, supported, and still feel like a real journey.
Halfwoods is built around that version: honest planning, useful help, memorable routes, and no performance of toughness required.
01
“I” means the guide you plan and ride with. “We” means the guide and support team when a supported trip calls for both.
Your guide
I shape the route, talk through experience and equipment, provide practical instruction, lead the riding day, and make the calls when the plan needs to change.
Support crew
On supported trips, a second crew member drives the vehicle, moves equipment, prepares camp, meets the group at planned points, and provides bailout capacity.
Reassurance with specifics
Before any booking becomes final, riders receive the trip-specific safety and communication plan, support and pickup arrangements, guide credential details, insurance information, and the booking and cancellation terms that apply to that departure.
The route is checked again for current notices and conditions. We review the bikes, equipment, weather expectations, emergency contacts, and what would cause the day or trip to change.
No guided trip leaves on the strength of a vague promise that everything will probably be fine.
02
The first public season is 2027 and departures are currently in planning. You can register interest or begin planning a private trip now.
The images come from the broader Halfwoods trip archive and are used to show the experience of travelling by loaded bike. Route pages describe the actual destination; photographs are not presented as proof of a completed commercial departure.
Yes. Send the short inquiry and ask for a phone or video conversation. There is no need to solve the whole trip in the form.
