Use WildCard for learning and fun. Don't copy or redistribute our content. We've done our best to make the app accurate, but always verify species identification in important situations. That's pretty much it.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using WildCard, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Use of the App
WildCard is provided for educational and entertainment purposes. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial use only.
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app
- Copy, redistribute, or republish app content
- Use the app for any commercial purpose without permission
- Attempt to interfere with the app's proper operation
Content Accuracy
We strive to provide accurate information about wildlife species, including names, habitats, diets, sounds, and other characteristics. However:
WildCard is a learning tool and should not be used as the sole source for species identification in critical situations, such as determining if a plant is edible or if an animal is dangerous. When in doubt, consult authoritative field guides or experts.
Intellectual Property
All content in WildCard—including images, sounds, text, graphics, and the app design—is owned by Halfwoods or used under license. Species photographs and sounds are curated for educational purposes.
The WildCard name, logo, and branding are trademarks of Halfwoods.
User Conduct
When using social features such as leaderboards, daily quiz sharing, or friend challenges, you agree to:
- Use appropriate display names
- Not harass or abuse other users
- Not attempt to manipulate scores or rankings
We reserve the right to remove users who violate these guidelines from social features.
Disclaimer of Warranties
WildCard is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The app will be uninterrupted or error-free
- All species information is 100% accurate
- The app will meet your specific requirements
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Halfwoods shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to:
- Reliance on species identification information
- Loss of data or game progress
- Interruption of service
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top when we do. Continued use of WildCard after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
